Description
Nayna Mycetin Eye Drops is an ophthalmic medication that contains Neomycin (an antibiotic) and sometimes combined with other supportive agents to treat bacterial eye infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing bacteria in the eyes, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and discomfort.
Uses:
Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (redness and swelling of the eye due to bacterial infection)
Management of blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids) caused by bacteria
Prevention of eye infections after minor injuries, eye surgery, or foreign particle entry
Relief from symptoms such as itching, watering, irritation, and discharge associated with bacterial infections
Supportive treatment in mixed eye infections where bacterial growth is prominent
Side Effects:
Nayna Mycetin Eye Drops are generally safe when used as prescribed, but some people may experience:
Common: Temporary stinging or burning sensation after instillation, mild redness, watery eyes
Occasional: Itching, eyelid swelling, or blurred vision shortly after use
Rare but serious: Severe allergic reaction with eye pain, persistent redness, swelling, or worsening infection symptoms due to prolonged use
Precautions:
For ophthalmic use only. Do not touch the dropper tip to avoid contamination. Use only as prescribed by an eye specialist. Discontinue and consult a doctor if irritation persists or worsens.
