Cipla Azicip 200 Suspension is an antibiotic medicine primarily used to treat bacterial infections in children. It contains azithromycin, which belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, thereby treating infections like respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia), ear infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and certain skin infections.

This suspension is especially preferred for children due to its once-daily dosing and shorter course, usually 3–5 days. It should always be given exactly as prescribed by a doctor and shaken well before use. It’s important to complete the full course even if symptoms improve early.

Common side effects of Azicip 200 Suspension include:

• Diarrhea

• Stomach pain

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Headache

• Loss of appetite

These are usually mild and temporary. Giving the medicine after food may help reduce stomach upset.

Serious but rare side effects include:
