Description

Rexcof LS Syrup is a combination medicine manufactured by Cipla, primarily used to treat coughs associated with mucus (wet or productive cough). It contains three main ingredients: Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol, and Guaiphenesin.

Uses:

1. Relief from Productive Cough: The syrup helps clear mucus from the airways, making breathing easier.

2. Bronchodilation: Levosalbutamol works by relaxing the muscles of the airways, making it easier for air to move in and out of the lungs. It is helpful in conditions like asthma and bronchitis.

3. Mucolytic Action: Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic, thinning and loosening mucus in the airways so it can be coughed out more easily.

4. Expectorant Effect: Guaiphenesin increases the volume of fluids in the respiratory tract, helping in mucus clearance.

5. Used in Conditions Like: Bronchitis, asthma with phlegm, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory infections involving thick mucus.

Side Effects:
