Uses:
CIPRODAC 250 mg tablet contains ciprofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the fluoroquinolone class. It is commonly prescribed to treat various bacterial infections in the body. These include respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin and soft tissue infections, gastrointestinal infections (like infectious diarrhea), and certain types of typhoid fever. CIPRODAC works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication, thereby killing the bacteria and stopping the infection from spreading. It is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This medicine is generally used when other antibiotics are not suitable or if the bacteria are resistant to other drugs.

Side Effects:
Like all medications, CIPRODAC 250 mg may cause side effects. Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness, and headache. Some people may experience allergic reactions like rashes, itching, or swelling. Serious but rare side effects include tendon rupture, changes in mood or behavior, nerve damage (tingling or numbness), and liver enzyme abnormalities. It may also increase sensitivity to sunlight. Long-term or high-dose use should be monitored by a healthcare provider. Patients with a history of tendon disorders or those on corticosteroids should use it cautiously.
