Description

INTAS CEPOCEF-CV 325MG Tablet is a combination antibiotic medicine containing Cefpodoxime (200 mg) and Clavulanic Acid (125 mg). It is used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Common uses include infections of the respiratory tract (such as bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, ear, nose, and throat (such as sinusitis, tonsillitis), and certain sexually transmitted infections. The addition of Clavulanic Acid helps prevent bacterial resistance by inhibiting enzymes (beta-lactamases) that could destroy Cefpodoxime, making the antibiotic more effective.

Uses:

• Respiratory tract infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• ENT infections (sinusitis, pharyngitis)

• Gonorrhea and other susceptible bacterial infections

Possible Side Effects:

• Common: Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas, headache, skin rash

• Less common: Dizziness, fatigue, changes in taste, itching

• Serious (seek medical help): Severe allergic reactions (swelling, difficulty breathing), persistent diarrhea with blood/mucus (may indicate Clostridium difficile infection), yellowing of skin/eyes (liver issues), unusual bruising/bleeding, severe skin reactions
