Description
INTAS PARATAS 500 Tablet β Uses and Side Effects
Uses:
INTAS PARATAS 500 Tablet contains Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), commonly used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever. It is effective in headaches, toothaches, muscle aches, menstrual cramps, joint pain, and back pain. It is also used to control fever associated with infections, post-vaccination reactions, or after surgery. The medicine works by blocking certain chemicals in the brain (prostaglandins) that cause pain and fever. It can be taken alone or in combination with other medicines for symptomatic relief.
Side Effects:
Paracetamol is generally well-tolerated when taken in recommended doses, but side effects may occur, especially with prolonged use or overdose. Common side effects include nausea, stomach discomfort, loss of appetite, and skin rashes. Rare but serious effects may include allergic reactions (swelling, itching, breathing difficulty), liver damage, or blood disorders. High doses can cause severe liver injury, which may be life-threatening. Chronic alcohol use increases the risk of liver toxicity. People with liver disease, alcoholism, or those taking other medicines containing paracetamol should be cautious.
