Esomefol DSR is a combination medicine that usually contains Esomeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a prokinetic agent). It is mainly prescribed to treat acid reflux, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, gastritis, and indigestion. The Esomeprazole part reduces excess stomach acid production, helping in the healing of ulcers and preventing irritation of the food pipe. Domperidone helps in faster movement of food through the stomach and reduces nausea, bloating, and vomiting. Doctors may also recommend it for conditions involving excessive acidity and delayed gastric emptying.

Side Effects of Esomefol DSR Capsule
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, dry mouth, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, and flatulence. Some people may also experience mild skin rashes or fatigue. Rarely, it can cause allergic reactions, irregular heartbeat, severe diarrhea, low magnesium levels, or liver function changes. Long-term or high-dose use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency and bone fractures.
