Description
Uses of Gabanyl NT 100 Tablet
Gabanyl NT 100 Tablet is a combination medicine containing Gabapentin and Nortriptyline. It is primarily used for the management of neuropathic pain caused by conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, nerve injuries, or spinal cord disorders. Gabapentin works by calming overactive nerve signals to reduce pain sensations, while Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, helps in pain relief and improves mood and sleep in patients suffering from chronic nerve pain. It may also be prescribed in certain cases of fibromyalgia and nerve-related headaches.
Side Effects of Gabanyl NT 100 Tablet
Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, dry mouth, constipation, and blurred vision. Some individuals may experience weight gain, swelling of hands or feet, unsteadiness, or confusion. Rare but serious side effects include mood changes, depression, difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat, or allergic reactions such as rash, itching, and swelling of the face or throat. Because it can cause sedation, caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Abruptly stopping the medicine can lead to withdrawal symptoms, so it should be discontinued only under medical supervision
