Uses of Moxiford D Eye Drop
Moxiford D Eye Drop is a combination medication that typically contains Moxifloxacin (an antibiotic) and Dexamethasone (a corticosteroid). It is used to treat bacterial eye infections and to reduce associated inflammation, redness, and swelling. It is commonly prescribed for conditions like conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, or post-eye surgery to prevent infection and control inflammation. The antibiotic component works by killing or inhibiting the growth of bacteria, while the steroid component reduces inflammatory symptoms and promotes faster recovery.
Side Effects of Moxiford D Eye Drop
When used as prescribed, side effects are usually mild and temporary. Possible side effects include mild eye irritation, burning or stinging sensation after instillation, redness, or temporary blurred vision. Some people may experience watery eyes, dryness, or itching. Rare but serious side effects include eye pain, swelling of the eyelids, vision changes, or signs of an allergic reaction such as rash or difficulty breathing. Prolonged use may increase the risk of increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, cataracts, or secondary eye infections. If any severe or persistent symptoms occur, medical advice should be sought immediately.
