Description
Drex-DX Syrup is a combination medicine commonly used to relieve symptoms of dry cough. It typically contains Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (a cough suppressant), Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (a nasal decongestant), and Chlorpheniramine Maleate (an antihistamine).
Uses:
Provides relief from dry, irritating cough without mucus production.
Reduces nasal congestion, runny nose, and sneezing associated with allergies or the common cold.
Helps in relieving throat irritation caused by persistent coughing.

Side Effects (usually mild and temporary if taken in the prescribed dose):
Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, nausea, mild stomach upset, dry mouth, or blurred vision.
Occasional: Increased heart rate, restlessness, difficulty sleeping.
Rare but serious: Severe allergic reaction, confusion, hallucinations, high blood pressure, or irregular heartbeat (especially in overdose or sensitive patients).
