Description
DREX-SF Syrup is a sugar-free antacid and antiflatulent formulation commonly used to relieve symptoms of acidity, indigestion, heartburn, and gas. It typically contains Magnesium Hydroxide and Aluminium Hydroxide (which neutralize excess stomach acid) along with Simethicone (which helps break gas bubbles for easier passage). Being sugar-free, it is suitable for diabetic patients.
Uses:
Relief from hyperacidity, acid reflux, and heartburn
Symptomatic relief from bloating, belching, and gas
Management of gastritis and indigestion
Suitable for patients who require a sugar-free preparation
Side Effects:
DREX-SF Syrup is generally well tolerated when taken as prescribed, but some people may experience:
Mild diarrhea (due to magnesium salts)
Constipation (due to aluminium salts)
Nausea or stomach discomfort
Unpleasant chalky taste in the mouth
Rarely, prolonged or excessive use may disturb electrolyte balance, leading to weakness, confusion, or altered heartbeat
It should be taken after meals or as directed by a physician. Long-term or high-dose use should be avoided without medical advice, especially in patients with kidney problems. Shake the bottle well before use for uniform distribution of ingredients.
