Description
Uses of Almox DT 250 mg Tablet
Almox DT 250 mg Tablet contains Amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic. It is commonly used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, such as respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), ear infections (otitis media), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain dental infections. It works by stopping the growth and multiplication of bacteria. Almox DT is often prescribed in children and adults for infections caused by bacteria sensitive to amoxicillin. The DT (dispersible tablet) form can be dissolved in water, making it easier to take, especially for children or people who have difficulty swallowing tablets. It should only be used under medical supervision and as prescribed.
Side Effects of Almox DT 250 mg Tablet
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and skin rash. Some people may experience allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing, which require immediate medical attention. Rarely, it may cause severe diarrhea due to Clostridium difficile infection, liver problems, or changes in blood cell counts. Prolonged or repeated use can lead to secondary infections like oral or vaginal fungal infections. If any unusual or severe symptoms occur, treatment should be stopped, and medical help should be sought promptly
