Azikem 250 Tablet contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It is effective against respiratory tract infections (like bronchitis, pneumonia), throat and tonsil infections, sinusitis, ear infections, and certain skin and soft tissue infections. It is also used for some sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia. Azikem works by stopping the growth of bacteria, helping the body’s immune system to clear the infection. It is not effective for viral infections such as the common cold or flu.

Side Effects of Azikem 250 Tablet
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. Some people may experience headache, dizziness, or changes in taste. Rarely, it can cause allergic reactions like rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. In uncommon cases, liver problems, irregular heartbeat, or severe intestinal conditions (pseudomembranous colitis) can occur. If you notice yellowing of skin/eyes, persistent vomiting, chest pain, or signs of a severe allergic reaction, seek immediate medical attention.
