Description
Rabitop DSR Capsule is a combination medicine containing Rabeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a prokinetic agent). It is primarily used to treat conditions related to excessive stomach acid and delayed gastric emptying.
Uses:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Chronic gastritis and acid peptic disorders
Peptic ulcers
Relief from heartburn, acidity, and bloating
Prevention of acid-related damage in the esophagus
Nausea and vomiting associated with acid reflux
Indigestion due to slow stomach emptying
How it works:
Rabeprazole reduces stomach acid production, helping in healing acid-related damage. Domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, preventing nausea and bloating.
Side Effects:
Common: Headache, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, dry mouth, abdominal pain, flatulence
Occasional: Nausea, vomiting, rash, fatigue
Rare but serious: Irregular heartbeat, severe allergic reaction (swelling of face, lips, or throat), persistent diarrhea, confusion, or muscle weakness (possible low magnesium)
It should be taken before meals as advised by a doctor. Long-term use should be monitored to avoid side effects like vitamin B12 deficiency or bone weakening. Avoid in patients with heart rhythm disorders or severe liver/kidney problems without medical supervision.
