Description

Azax 250 Tablet contains Azithromycin 250 mg, a macrolide antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth of bacteria.

Uses:
Azax 250 is commonly prescribed for:

• Respiratory tract infections like bronchitis, pneumonia, and sinusitis

• Throat and tonsil infections (pharyngitis, tonsillitis)

• Ear infections (otitis media)

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia

• Certain gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria
  It is also used as part of combination therapy for typhoid fever and some atypical infections.

Side Effects:
While generally well tolerated, Azax 250 may cause some side effects:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, and dizziness

• Less common: Loss of appetite, fatigue, taste disturbances

• Rare but serious: Liver dysfunction, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation), and Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
