Description

Canditop Ointment is a topical antifungal medication primarily used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and candidiasis. Its main active ingredient is Clotrimazole, which works by stopping the growth of fungi by damaging their cell membranes. This ointment is effective against various fungal infections caused by Candida, Trichophyton, Epidermophyton, and Microsporum species.

Uses:
Canditop is commonly prescribed for:

• Fungal infections of the skin

• Vaginal candidiasis (when advised)

• Diaper rash caused by yeast

• Intertrigo (rash in skin folds)

• Fungal nail or foot infections (with prolonged use)

It is applied directly to the affected area, usually 2-3 times daily, after cleaning and drying the skin.

Side Effects:
Most side effects are mild and local. Common ones include:

• Itching or burning sensation

• Peeling or dryness
