Description
Uses of Cardiozen-FB Tablet
Cardiozen-FB Tablet is generally a combination medicine containing Fenofibrate and Atorvastatin. It is used to manage dyslipidemia (abnormal lipid levels) by reducing elevated cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It helps in increasing βgoodβ cholesterol (HDL) and lowering βbadβ cholesterol (LDL) and very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL). This combination is prescribed to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in blood vessels) in patients who have not achieved target lipid levels with diet and exercise alone.
Side Effects of Cardiozen-FB Tablet
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Commonly reported ones include headache, muscle pain, joint pain, abdominal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, and weakness. Some individuals may experience dizziness, back pain, or constipation. Rarely, it can cause muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis), liver enzyme elevations, or gallstones. Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or swelling may occur in sensitive individuals. Long-term use requires periodic monitoring of liver function, kidney function, and lipid profile. If symptoms like severe muscle pain, dark urine, or jaundice appear, medical attention should be sought immediately
