Description
Cipla Cetcip Tablet contains cetirizine hydrochloride, an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms. It works by blocking histamine, a natural substance in the body that causes allergic reactions.
Uses:
Cetcip is mainly used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis (runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes), hives, skin allergies, and hay fever. It helps reduce itching, swelling, and rashes caused by allergens like pollen, dust, pet dander, or insect bites. It may also be used for seasonal allergies and to relieve chronic urticaria (long-term hives). The tablet usually starts working within an hour and provides relief for up to 24 hours.
Side Effects:
Most people tolerate Cetcip well. However, common side effects may include drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, dizziness, and fatigue. Some people may experience stomach discomfort or nausea. Though rare, serious allergic reactions like rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing may occur and require immediate medical attention.
Itβs important not to exceed the recommended dose. Alcohol and other sedatives may increase drowsiness when taken with cetirizine. Use caution when driving or operating machines. Always consult a doctor before giving this medication to children or using it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
