Description

Cipmox 500 Capsule contains Amoxicillin 500 mg, a broad-spectrum penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria and is effective against infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ear, nose, throat, skin, and soft tissues. It is also prescribed for conditions like bronchitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, dental infections, and certain gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria.

Cipmox 500 is generally taken orally, with or without food, as directed by a doctor. For best results, it should be taken at evenly spaced intervals and the full course must be completed, even if symptoms improve early.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, and skin rash. Most of these are mild and temporary. However, in some cases, allergic reactions like itching, swelling, difficulty breathing, or severe skin rash may occur. Rarely, it may cause yeast infections, liver enzyme changes, or prolonged diarrhea indicating a more serious intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile infection).

Cipmox should not be used in individuals allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting or stopping the medicine, especially in case of kidney problems, pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
