Description

Clocip Ointment by Cipla is an antifungal medication used to treat various skin infections caused by fungi. It contains clotrimazole as its active ingredient, which works by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, stopping the growth of the fungus.

Uses:
Clocip Ointment is commonly used to treat skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and candidiasis (fungal infection in moist skin folds). It is also effective against fungal diaper rash and fungal infections around the nails or groin. The ointment helps relieve symptoms like itching, redness, scaling, and irritation caused by fungal growth on the skin. It is applied externally to the affected area, usually two to three times a day as directed by a healthcare professional.

Side Effects:
Most people tolerate Clocip Ointment well. However, some may experience mild side effects like skin irritation, burning, stinging, redness, or peeling at the site of application. These effects are usually temporary. In rare cases, allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or severe itching may occur. If any unusual or severe reaction develops, it’s advisable to stop using the ointment and consult a doctor.

Avoid applying it on broken or inflamed skin unless advised. Prolonged or excessive use should be avoided without medical supervision.
