Description

Doo-Clav DS Syrup is an antibiotic medication commonly used in children. It contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid. This combination is effective against a wide range of bacterial infections.

Uses:

Doo-Clav DS is primarily used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (such as pneumonia, bronchitis), ear infections (like otitis media), sinusitis, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and dental infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic acid enhances the effect of amoxicillin by preventing bacterial resistance.

Side Effects:

Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and rash. Some children may also experience loss of appetite, headache, or changes in taste. Serious side effects, though rare, may include allergic reactions like swelling, severe rash, itching, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), and persistent diarrhea with mucus or blood (which could indicate a serious bowel condition). If any severe reaction occurs, medical attention should be sought immediately.
