Drex Junior Syrup is an antihistamine medication containing Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride, mainly prescribed for children to relieve allergic symptoms. It works by blocking histamine, a natural substance in the body responsible for allergy symptoms.

Uses:

• Relief from seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes)

• Treatment of skin allergies like urticaria (hives) and itching

• Management of allergic reactions to insect bites or foods

• Helps reduce symptoms of eczema-related itching

• Sometimes prescribed for anxiety or restlessness in children under medical supervision

Side Effects:

• Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, mild headache

• Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, constipation

• Neurological: Confusion or irritability (more likely in young children)
