Description
Ethamcip 500 Tablet contains Ethamsylate (500 mg) as its active ingredient. It is primarily used to control and prevent abnormal or excessive bleeding in various medical conditions. Ethamsylate works by improving platelet adhesion and stabilizing the walls of blood vessels, thereby reducing bleeding.
Uses:
Prevention and treatment of excessive bleeding during or after surgery
Management of abnormal uterine bleeding (menorrhagia or heavy menstrual bleeding)
Control of bleeding in dental, gynecological, ENT, or ophthalmic procedures
Treatment of bleeding associated with trauma or capillary fragility
Supportive treatment in bleeding disorders where platelet function is compromised
Side Effects:
Ethamcip 500 Tablet is generally well tolerated, but some individuals may experience:
Common: Nausea, vomiting, headache, mild abdominal discomfort, dizziness
Occasional: Skin rash, diarrhea, fatigue, or weakness
Rare but serious: Allergic reactions (swelling, itching, difficulty breathing), drop in blood pressure, fever
Precautions:
Should be taken only under medical supervision.
Not recommended for use in patients with bleeding due to anticoagulant therapy without doctorβs advice.
Use with caution in patients with a history of blood clotting disorders.
