Description
Gabacip-M Tablet is a combination medicine containing Gabapentin (an anti-epileptic and nerve pain modulator) and Methylcobalamin (a form of Vitamin B12 essential for nerve health). It is mainly prescribed for the management of neuropathic pain and certain nerve-related disorders.
Gabapentin works by calming overactive nerve signals in the brain and spinal cord, thereby reducing pain and preventing seizures.
Methylcobalamin supports nerve regeneration, repair, and healthy functioning by improving myelin sheath formation.
Uses:
Treatment of neuropathic pain caused by diabetes, shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia), or spinal cord injury
Management of nerve pain associated with conditions like sciatica, trigeminal neuralgia, or carpal tunnel syndrome
Supportive therapy in peripheral neuropathy due to vitamin B12 deficiency
Adjunct therapy for certain types of seizures (partial epilepsy)
Improvement of nerve function in chronic neurological disorders
