Gabanyl 300 Tablet contains Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant and neuropathic pain-relieving medicine. It is primarily used to treat nerve pain caused by conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia (nerve pain after shingles), and other neuropathic disorders. It is also prescribed as an adjunct therapy for partial seizures in epilepsy to help control and prevent seizures. Additionally, it may be used in certain cases of fibromyalgia and nerve-related pain after spinal injuries.
Side Effects of Gabanyl 300 Tablet
Most side effects are mild to moderate and may improve as the body adjusts to the medicine. Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, unsteady movements, and blurred vision. Some individuals may experience swelling of hands or feet, weight gain, tremors, dry mouth, or constipation. Rarely, mood changes, confusion, memory problems, or allergic reactions such as rash, itching, and swelling may occur. In very rare cases, it can cause suicidal thoughts or severe allergic reactions. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as it can cause sleepiness and reduced alertness
