Description

Galpride M1 Tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine that combines Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) and Metformin (a biguanide). It is prescribed for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially when diet, exercise, and single-drug therapy are insufficient to control blood sugar.

• Glimepiride works by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin, thereby lowering blood glucose.

• Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, helping the body utilize glucose effectively.

Side Effects:
Galpride M1 may cause:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, metallic taste, weakness

• Occasional: Dizziness, headache, mild weight gain, bloating

• Serious but rare: Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) with symptoms like sweating, tremors, hunger, confusion; lactic acidosis (linked to metformin, very rare); allergic reactions such as rash or swelling

Precautions:
