Liv-Cet-5 Tablet contains Levocetirizine, an antihistamine used to treat and manage allergic conditions. It helps relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, and itching in the eyes or throat. It is also effective in treating chronic urticaria (hives) by reducing skin redness, swelling, and itching. The medicine works by blocking histamine, the chemical responsible for allergic reactions, thereby providing quick and lasting relief.

Side Effects of Liv-Cet-5 Tablet
When taken as prescribed, side effects are usually mild and temporary. Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, fatigue, and dizziness. Some individuals may experience stomach discomfort or nausea. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing may occur. In children, irritability or mild sleep disturbances can be seen. It is advisable to avoid alcohol and activities requiring alertness, like driving, if drowsiness is experienced.
