Liv-Cet Syrup 30 ml contains Levocetirizine, an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergies. It works by blocking histamine, a chemical responsible for allergic reactions, thereby reducing itching, swelling, and other allergy-related symptoms. It is commonly prescribed for both seasonal and year-round allergies.

Uses:

• Relief from allergic rhinitis symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, and itchy/watery eyes

• Management of chronic urticaria (hives) to reduce itching and rashes

• Relief from skin allergies and irritation caused by insect bites or environmental allergens

• Supportive treatment in mild asthma or respiratory allergies (as part of a doctor’s plan)

Side Effects:

• Common: Drowsiness, tiredness, dry mouth, headache

• Occasional: Stomach pain, nausea, dizziness

• Rare but serious: Allergic reactions like rash, swelling of face/lips, difficulty breathing

• In some cases, it may cause mood changes, palpitations, or blurred vision

• Long-term or high-dose use without medical advice may affect kidney function in people with pre-existing kidney disease
