Description

MedicYes Levetron-500 Tablet contains Levetiracetam 500 mg, an anticonvulsant medicine used to control seizures in epilepsy. It works by stabilizing abnormal electrical activity in the brain, reducing the frequency and severity of seizures. It can be prescribed alone or along with other anti-epileptic medicines.

Uses:

• Management of partial-onset seizures (with or without secondary generalization)

• Treatment of myoclonic seizures in patients with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy

• Control of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children

• Prevention of seizure recurrence in diagnosed epilepsy patients

Side Effects:
Most side effects are mild and temporary but should be monitored.

• Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, fatigue, nasal congestion, loss of appetite

• Neurological: Sleepiness, coordination problems, mood swings, irritability

• Psychiatric: Anxiety, depression, agitation, rarely suicidal thoughts (needs medical attention)

• Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach discomfort

• Rare: Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), severe behavioral changes, blood disorders

Important:

• Take exactly as prescribed; do not stop suddenly to avoid seizure rebound.

• Use with caution in kidney problems and psychiatric conditions.

• Avoid alcohol and activities requiring alertness until you know its effect on you.
