Description
Metform SR 1000 Tablet contains Metformin Hydrochloride (Sustained Release) 1000 mg, an oral anti-diabetic medicine from the biguanide class. It is commonly prescribed to manage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus by controlling high blood sugar levels and improving the bodyβs response to insulin. Unlike some other diabetes medicines, it does not cause sudden drops in blood sugar and can also aid in weight management.
Uses

Side Effects
Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, metallic taste in mouth
Occasional: Weakness, mild abdominal discomfort
Rare but serious: Lactic acidosis (symptoms include severe weakness, rapid breathing, drowsiness, or muscle pain) β requires immediate medical attention
