Description

Metopole 25 XL Tablet contains Metoprolol Succinate, a cardio-selective beta-1 blocker used to manage various heart and blood pressure conditions. It works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals like adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels, reducing heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.

Uses:

• Management of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Treatment of angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)

• Prevention of heart attacks and improvement of survival after a heart attack

• Management of heart failure in selected patients

• Control of irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias)

• Relief from symptoms of migraine and certain forms of anxiety when prescribed

Side Effects:
Metopole 25 XL is generally well tolerated, but some may experience:

• Common: Fatigue, dizziness, headache, cold hands or feet, mild nausea

• Occasional: Slow heartbeat (bradycardia), low blood pressure, sleep disturbances, diarrhea, or shortness of breath

• Rare: Severe allergic reactions, worsening of heart failure, fainting, depression, or vision changes

Precautions:

• Take the tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day, with or after food.

• Do not abruptly stop the medication; consult your doctor before dose changes.

• Use caution in patients with asthma, diabetes, or kidney/liver problems.

• Regular monitoring of heart rate and blood pressure is recommended.
