Description
Moximax KT Eye Drop is a combination medicine containing Moxifloxacin (an antibiotic) and Ketorolac Tromethamine (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug β NSAID). It is mainly prescribed for eye infections and to reduce inflammation and pain in the eyes.
Uses:
Treats bacterial conjunctivitis (redness and infection in the eye).
Provides relief from swelling, redness, and irritation caused by bacterial infection.
Used after cataract or other eye surgeries to prevent infection and reduce inflammation.
Helps in reducing eye pain, burning, and discomfort due to bacterial infections.
Prevents further spread of infection by killing harmful bacteria.
Side Effects:
While generally safe under medical supervision, some patients may experience mild side effects such as:
Eye irritation, burning, or stinging after instillation.
Temporary blurred vision.
Redness, itching, or watery eyes.
Headache or mild sensitivity to light.
Rarely, allergic reactions such as swelling of eyelids, rash, or difficulty breathing (requires immediate medical attention).
Overuse or misuse can reduce effectiveness or cause resistance. It should not be used for viral or fungal eye infections. Always use it in the dose and duration prescribed by an ophthalmologist.
