Uses of Ofokem OZ Tablet
Lokem OZ Tablet is a combination medicine containing Ofloxacin (an antibiotic) and Ornidazole (an anti-parasitic/anti-amoebic agent). It is prescribed to treat a variety of bacterial and protozoal infections, particularly those affecting the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, respiratory system, skin, and soft tissues. It works by stopping the growth of harmful bacteria and killing parasites that cause infection. Commonly, it is used for conditions like diarrhoea with mixed infections, dysentery, bacterial vaginosis, and certain post-surgical infections.

Side Effects of Lokem OZ Tablet
Like all medicines, Lokem OZ may cause some side effects. Common ones include:

• Nausea, vomiting, or stomach upset

• Diarrhoea or constipation

• Dry mouth or metallic taste

• Headache or dizziness

• Weakness or fatigue

Less common but more serious side effects may include:

• Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing)

• Severe diarrhoea with blood/mucus (possible Clostridium difficile infection)

• Numbness, tingling, or nerve pain (neuropathy)

• Tendon pain or swelling (tendinitis)
