Description

Olmo H Tablet is a combination medicine that contains Olmesartan Medoxomil (an angiotensin II receptor blocker – ARB) and Hydrochlorothiazide (a thiazide diuretic). It is mainly used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) effectively.

Uses:

• Lowers high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels (Olmesartan) and removing excess water and salt through urine (Hydrochlorothiazide).

• Helps prevent complications of uncontrolled hypertension such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

• May be prescribed for patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with a single medication.

• Reduces strain on the heart and improves overall cardiovascular health.

Side Effects:

While generally well-tolerated, Olmo H Tablet may cause some side effects, such as:

• Common: Dizziness, headache, weakness, nausea, tiredness, or stomach upset.

• Occasional: Muscle cramps, low blood pressure (hypotension), frequent urination, or mild swelling.

• Rare but serious: Electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or sodium), kidney problems, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling of face or throat), or severe dizziness.

Precautions:

Take exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. Avoid alcohol and dehydration. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels is advised.
