Description

Uses:
Omee 20 mg contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce excess stomach acid. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Peptic ulcers (stomach and duodenal ulcers)

• Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (excess acid production)

• Heartburn and acid indigestion

• Prevention of gastric damage caused by certain painkillers (NSAIDs)

It works by blocking the acid-producing pumps in the stomach lining, thereby relieving symptoms like burning sensation, regurgitation, and stomach pain.

Side Effects:
Most side effects are mild and temporary, but some may require medical attention. Common ones include:

• Headache

• Nausea or vomiting

• Diarrhea or constipation

• Abdominal pain, bloating, or gas

• Dizziness

Less common but serious side effects may include:

• Low magnesium levels (muscle cramps, irregular heartbeat)

• Vitamin B12 deficiency (with long-term use)

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

• Severe diarrhea due to Clostridium difficile infection
