P40 Tablet generally contains Pantoprazole 40 mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce excess stomach acid. It is commonly prescribed for:

• Treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and heartburn

• Healing erosive esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus caused by acid)

• Managing stomach and duodenal ulcers

• Treating conditions like Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (excess acid production)

• Preventing acid-related damage in patients taking painkillers (NSAIDs)

It works by blocking the proton pumps in the stomach lining, thus lowering acid levels and giving relief from symptoms such as burning sensation, acid reflux, and discomfort.

Side Effects of P40 Tablet
