Description

Pantafol DSR Capsule is a combination medicine containing Pantoprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a prokinetic agent). It is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders related to excess stomach acid and delayed stomach emptying.

• Pantoprazole works by reducing the production of stomach acid, providing relief from acidity and allowing ulcers to heal.

• Domperidone increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping in faster digestion and reducing nausea or bloating.

Uses:

• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Relief from persistent heartburn and acidity

• Management of gastritis and acid-related indigestion

• Healing and prevention of stomach and duodenal ulcers

• Relief from nausea, vomiting, and bloating due to acid reflux

• Management of acid-related symptoms in patients with delayed gastric emptying

Side Effects:
Pantafol DSR may cause:

• Common: Headache, dizziness, diarrhea, dry mouth, mild stomach discomfort

• Occasional: Nausea, constipation, flatulence, rash

• Rare but serious: Irregular heartbeat, low magnesium levels, severe allergic reactions, breast tenderness or enlargement (with prolonged use of domperidone)

Precautions:
Take before meals, preferably in the morning. Avoid long-term use without medical advice. Not recommended in patients with severe heart rhythm problems or gastrointestinal bleeding. Use under doctor’s supervision only.
