Description

Pantoyes DSR Capsule is a combination medicine containing Pantoprazole (40 mg), a proton pump inhibitor, and Domperidone (30 mg SR), a prokinetic agent. It is mainly used to manage gastrointestinal conditions related to excess stomach acid and delayed gastric emptying.

Uses:

• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and acid reflux

• Relief from heartburn, regurgitation, and sour stomach

• Management of gastritis, gastric or duodenal ulcers

• Prevention of acid-related damage in long-term NSAID users

• Control of nausea, vomiting, bloating, and early satiety caused by indigestion

• Improves gastric motility in patients with delayed stomach emptying

Side Effects:

• Common: Headache, dizziness, diarrhea, dry mouth, stomach pain

• Gastrointestinal: Nausea, constipation, abdominal bloating, flatulence

• Neurological: Restlessness, mild drowsiness

• Metabolic: Low magnesium levels if used long term

• Rare but serious: Irregular heartbeat, allergic reactions, severe diarrhea due to Clostridium difficile, breast tenderness or galactorrhea (due to domperidone’s effect on prolactin)

It should be taken before meals as prescribed, and long-term use should be monitored to avoid nutritional deficiencies and potential side effects. Not recommended in patients with severe liver, kidney, or heart conditions without medical supervision.
