Description
Paracip 250 Suspension is a pediatric formulation containing Paracetamol (250 mg/5 ml). It is commonly used in children to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, sore throat, toothache, earache, muscle aches, and post-vaccination discomfort. It works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the brain that cause fever and pain.
Paracip 250 is generally safe when used in the prescribed dose and duration. It provides quick relief and is suitable for infants and young children due to its liquid form, which is easier to administer than tablets.
Common uses include:
Fever associated with cold, flu, or infections
Pain relief after vaccinations
Teething-related discomfort
Mild pain due to injuries or inflammation
Side effects (usually rare and mild if taken correctly):
Nausea or stomach upset
Allergic reactions like rash, itching, or swelling
Rarely, liver damage in case of overdose or prolonged use
Drowsiness (in very sensitive children)
To ensure safety, the correct dose should be given based on the childβs weight and age. Always shake the bottle well before use and use the measuring cap or spoon provided. Avoid giving it along with other paracetamol-containing products to prevent overdose.
