Description
Rebozen DSR Tablet is a combination medicine containing Rabeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a prokinetic agent). It is prescribed to treat conditions caused by excessive stomach acid and slow gastric motility.
Uses:
Relief from acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, and indigestion
Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers
Management of erosive esophagitis (inflammation of the food pipe due to acid)
Reduces symptoms like nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort after meals
Helpful in conditions with excessive acid secretion, such as ZollingerβEllison syndrome
Side Effects:
Most people tolerate Rebozen DSR well, but some may experience:
Common: Headache, dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, bloating, sore throat
Less common: Skin rash, itching, weakness, or flu-like symptoms
Long-term risks (if used for prolonged periods): Vitamin B12, magnesium, or calcium deficiency, which can weaken bones
Rare: Irregular heartbeat, allergic reactions, or severe stomach pain
Precautions:
Take the tablet on an empty stomach, ideally 30 minutes before meals. Do not crush or chew. Prolonged use should be under medical supervision to avoid nutrient deficiencies and other complications. People with liver, kidney, or heart problems should use it cautiously.
