Description
Santiamet 500 Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine that contains Metformin 500 mg, which belongs to the class of drugs called biguanides. Uses:
Lowers fasting and post-meal blood sugar levels by reducing glucose production in the liver
Improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat tissues, helping the body use insulin more effectively
Helps prevent complications associated with uncontrolled diabetes, such as kidney damage, nerve damage, heart disease, and vision problems
Can be used alone or in combination with other anti-diabetic medications, like sulfonylureas or DPP-4 inhibitors, for better glycemic control
Supports weight management in patients with type 2 diabetes as it does not cause weight gain
