Description
Spaswell Tablet is generally prescribed to relieve abdominal pain, cramps, and spasms caused by conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), intestinal colic, dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps), and other gastrointestinal disorders. It usually contains a combination of Dicyclomine Hydrochloride (an antispasmodic) and Paracetamol (an analgesic/antipyretic). Dicyclomine works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the stomach and intestines, reducing spasms, while Paracetamol helps relieve pain and fever.
Uses:
Relief from abdominal cramps and spasms
Management of IBS-related discomfort
Menstrual pain relief
Pain due to kidney or gallbladder stones (as prescribed)
Symptomatic relief in gastrointestinal disorders involving muscle spasms
Side Effects:
Most side effects are mild and temporary if taken as directed. Possible effects include:
Common: Dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, constipation, mild drowsiness
Less common: Confusion, difficulty urinating, bloating, decreased sweating
Rare but serious: Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, breathing difficulty), irregular heartbeat, high fever due to heat intolerance
Overdose or prolonged use may harm the liver (due to Paracetamol) or cause severe anticholinergic effects (due to Dicyclomine).
It should be taken only on a doctorβs prescription, avoiding alcohol and monitoring in patients with liver, kidney, or heart conditions.
