Description
Telkonol 40 Tablet contains Telmisartan 40 mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used primarily to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and protect the heart and kidneys. It works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.
Uses:
Treatment of high blood pressure to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems
Protection of the kidneys in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria
Management of cardiovascular risk in patients with heart disease
Can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medicines
Side Effects:
Telkonol 40 is generally well tolerated, but some individuals may experience:
Common: Dizziness, headache, fatigue, mild nausea, or upset stomach
Occasional: Back pain, sinusitis, cough, or mild swelling in hands or feet
Rare but serious: Severe allergic reactions, low blood pressure, kidney problems, or high potassium levels (hyperkalemia)
