Description

Terabet GM Ointment is a topical medication that contains a combination of Terbinafine (antifungal), Betamethasone (a corticosteroid), and Gentamicin (an antibiotic). This combination works to treat mixed skin infections involving fungi, bacteria, and inflammation.

Uses:

• Treatment of fungal skin infections like ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch when associated with inflammation

• Management of bacterial skin infections occurring alongside fungal infections

• Relief from redness, itching, swelling, and discomfort caused by infected eczema or dermatitis

• Prevention of secondary infections in inflammatory skin conditions

• Helps promote faster healing by targeting multiple causes of infection and inflammation simultaneously

Side Effects:
When used as directed, Terabet GM is generally safe, but some individuals may experience:

• Common: Mild burning, stinging, or irritation at the site of application

• Occasional: Dryness, redness, skin peeling, or itching

• Rare: Allergic reactions like severe rash, swelling, or blistering

• Long-term or excessive use may cause thinning of the skin, stretch marks, or hormonal side effects due to the steroid component
