Texifen 500 Tablet contains cefuroxime, a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medicine is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, and sinusitis. It is also effective in treating urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, ear infections (otitis media), and certain sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhea. Texifen 500 may also be given after surgery to prevent infection. It is important to take it exactly as directed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve, to avoid antibiotic resistance.

Side Effects of Texifen 500 Tablet
Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and headache. Some people may experience dizziness or changes in taste. Mild skin rashes or itching can also occur. Serious but rare side effects include severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty), persistent diarrhea with blood or mucus (sign of Clostridium difficile infection), and yellowing of the skin or eyes (liver problems). If any severe reaction occurs, stop the medicine and seek immediate medical help.
