Description
Udidoc 300 Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) 300 mg, a bile acid used to improve liver function and dissolve certain types of gallstones. It works by reducing cholesterol production in the liver, decreasing cholesterol absorption in the gallbladder, and protecting liver cells from damage caused by toxic bile acids.
Uses:
Dissolution of small, non-calcified cholesterol gallstones in patients who cannot undergo surgery
Treatment of primary biliary cholangitis/cirrhosis and other chronic liver disorders
Improvement of bile flow in conditions like cholestatic liver disease or fatty liver disease
Prevention of gallstone formation in patients with rapid weight loss or post-bariatric surgery
Supportive therapy in certain liver conditions, such as drug-induced or chronic hepatitis
Side Effects:
Udidoc 300 is generally well tolerated, but some people may experience:
Common: Diarrhea, soft stools, mild stomach pain, nausea
Occasional: Indigestion, bloating, back pain, headache, rash, or itching
Rare: Severe right upper abdominal pain, worsening liver function in some patients
Precautions:
Use only under medical supervision with regular liver function monitoring
Not recommended in patients with calcified gallstones, complete bile duct obstruction, or severe liver failure
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should take it only if prescribed
Follow the dosage and duration recommended by the doctor for best results
