Description

Venpres-40 Tablet contains Olmesartan Medoxomil 40 mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, which helps reduce blood pressure and the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage.

Uses:

• Treatment of essential hypertension in adults

• Reduction of cardiovascular risks associated with prolonged high blood pressure

• Protection of kidney function in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes (as advised by doctor)

• May be used in combination with other antihypertensive medicines for better control

Side Effects:
Venpres-40 is generally well tolerated, but possible side effects include:

• Common: Dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, tiredness, stomach discomfort

• Occasional: Nausea, diarrhea, muscle cramps, weakness

• Rare but serious: Low blood pressure (especially after the first dose), kidney function changes, high potassium levels (hyperkalemia), allergic reactions like swelling of face, lips, or throat

Precautions:
Take at the same time daily, with or without food. Avoid potassium-rich supplements unless prescribed. Not recommended during pregnancy or in patients with severe kidney or liver problems. Blood pressure and kidney function should be monitored regularly during treatment.
