Description

Vildanol MF 500 Tablet is an oral antidiabetic medicine used to control blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is a combination of Vildagliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg), which work together to improve glycemic control when diet and exercise alone are insufficient.

Uses:

• Helps lower high blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 diabetes.

• Improves the body’s sensitivity to insulin and enhances glucose uptake by cells.

• Vildagliptin increases the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreases glucagon production.

• Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and slows absorption of sugar from the intestines.

• Prevents long-term complications of diabetes such as kidney damage, eye problems, and nerve issues when taken regularly with lifestyle changes.

Side Effects:

• Common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, stomach discomfort, metallic taste.

• Occasional: Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if combined with other antidiabetic drugs, fatigue, or mild weight changes.

• Rare but serious: Lactic acidosis (a medical emergency with symptoms like muscle pain, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing), liver function abnormalities, or severe allergic reactions.
