Description
Vogliboz 0.2 Tablet contains Voglibose (0.2 mg), an anti-diabetic medicine that helps control blood sugar levels in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It works by slowing down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates in the intestine, thereby preventing a sudden rise in blood sugar after meals. It is usually prescribed along with a healthy diet and exercise, and sometimes in combination with other anti-diabetic medicines.
Uses:
Controls post-meal (postprandial) blood sugar spikes
Manages Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, especially when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient
Can be used with other oral anti-diabetic medicines or insulin to improve overall sugar control
Helps reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications like nerve damage, kidney damage, and heart problems
Side Effects:
Most side effects are mild and related to the digestive system.
Common: Flatulence (gas), abdominal bloating, stomach discomfort, diarrhea, soft stools
Less common: Nausea, vomiting, mild abdominal pain
Rare but serious: Severe allergic reactions, jaundice, or intestinal obstruction (very uncommon)
Patients should take it with meals, avoid skipping doses, and follow a diabetic diet. Regular monitoring of blood sugar is important to ensure safety and effectiveness.
