Description
Vomirap MD Tablet contains Ondansetron, an antiemetic medicine that works by blocking serotonin (5-HT3) receptors in the brain and gut, thereby preventing nausea and vomiting. The βMDβ form stands for mouth-dissolving, meaning it melts on the tongue without the need for water, providing quick relief.
Uses:
Prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy or radiotherapy
Prevention of post-operative nausea and vomiting after surgery
Management of nausea and vomiting due to stomach infections, medications, or other medical conditions (as advised by a doctor)
Useful when rapid relief is needed, especially for patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets or are feeling too sick to drink water
Side Effects:
Vomirap MD is generally well tolerated, but possible side effects include:
Common: Headache, constipation, dizziness, feeling of warmth or flushing
Occasional: Fatigue, dry mouth, mild diarrhea
Rare but serious: Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), irregular heartbeat, chest pain, severe dizziness, or fainting
Precautions:
